"My husband and I recently moved into our new home in July 2020. We decided on a custom home build where our building materials were supplied through Sharbot Lake Home Hardware Beaver Homes and Cottages (BHC). With preliminary plans in hand, we sought to hire a local builder specializing in custom home builds to discuss our project. Enter Jones Contracting and Building (JCBS).

From our preliminary discussion meeting with Nathan, we sensed his enthusiasm to work with us to build our future home. Nathan was very attentive to our needs and wants, and did not rush us through our very long list of questions – he always took the time to educate us on various options to help us arrive at the right decision for us. The time taken to sit with us led to trust from Day 1. With materials supplied and delivered from BHC, we had very little to worry about except the fun stuff like selecting finishes. Materials were delivered when they were needed due in large part to Nathan’s excellent project management and communication skills.

JCBS was recommended to us and we quickly came to understand the many reasons. One of the biggest reasons for us was “The Crew” at JCBS that worked on our house; very friendly, dedicated, and skilled tradesmen that did an amazing job on all aspects of the project. Jake and Roland, to name a few of the regulars on-site, offered a perfectionist approach, especially when it came to the flooring and the woodwork required for the mantels, timber details, newel posts and rails for the stairwell.

Of course, JCBS is among the best in the area because they work with some of the best contractors (e.g. masonry, plumbing and heating, etc.) on their builds. Overall, we have been very pleased with the outcome. The shovels went to ground in November 2019, and we were moved in by July 2020 – all this through the challenges of COVID-19, which had little impact on the speed at which progress was made by JCBS.

In short, this company is stellar and we look forward to working with them again on future projects."
